"Where's the BellSouth truck?" Contest Rules

The "Where's the BellSouth truck?" web site program and contest is designed for and open to fourth grade Mississippi History students and teachers.  Approximately every three weeks, the BellSouth truck will travel to a different part of the state.  Follow the truck from city to city to learn interesting and fun information about the various regions of Mississippi.

Students who follow the truck and answer questions about each visit (10 visits total) are eligible for prize drawings of $25.  Only quizzes submitted for or during the time frame for a particular truck stop are eligible for that lesson's drawing.

At the end of every two courses of study (five truck visits), all classrooms with any students responding will be eligible for a drawing for one $200 classroom grant.

At the end of the "Where's the BellSouth truck?" program (May 2001), the teacher with the most responses overall will receive a $500 classroom grant.

Questions may be directed to BellSouth Pioneer Administrator Betty Byrd at Betty.Byrd@bellsouth.com or by calling 601-961-1982 or 557-1982 (toll-free).  Entries will be accepted via e-mail or at fax number 601-355-6425.  Only one entry per student per visit will be counted in the overall classroom grant tally.

The BellSouth truck will travel to a new location approximately once every three weeks.  A tentative timeline is as follows:  Sept. 25; Oct. 16, Nov. 6, Nov. 27, Jan. 8, Jan. 29, Feb. 19, March 12, April 2 and April 23.
